I VOTED! Did you?

November 7 , 2006

Once upon a time

I immigrated to the United States when I was 5. I got my citizenship in the 5th grade because my parents were able to pass the tests. I had to stay in school when I became a citizen. I wish I had been in the room to be sworn in.

One person can make a difference

I VOTED! Did you?

What if?

If I didn’t believe that one person could make a difference then why should I get up in the morning? One of my most popular pages on my site is how to fix your VW beetle headlight. I care and I want to help. I can affect change in my own little way. I had a conversation with a friend today who has never voted because her parents never voted. She doesn’t trust what the politicians stand for. I can’t fault her for that. It made me scratch my head as well.. which one do I pick the racist or the sexist (I’m voting in VA).  Which do you choose? Who do you believe? But choose. Just because your family doesn’t vote doesn’t mean you can’t.

I care!

Why is it that more people voted for American Idol than in the elections? (Granted.. its a simpler choice ;) ) It makes me really sad because I do believe one person can affect everyone else.  Set a good example and do the best you can with what you have and pray/cross your fingers toes/whatever you believe in.

Making no choice is a choice. Apathy don’t let it in.

Please go vote!

Jason, you actually have to put the sticker on.  Its one of the rare times you can wear a sticker and not look like a moron.

I didn’t get to the polls until late in the evening, so, ya know, no sense in wearing the sticker.

That, and stickers are for hippie Commie liberals…

Like me… :-P
