The Adventures of Cindy Li
Watching a Wizards game
January 4 , 2007
Once upon a time
AOL‘s executive handed out as a thank you tickets for the executive suites box to employees to watch a game at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Since our speaker for this month’s Refresh DC (is tonight and btw.. come out! ) is Dan Rubin. I made an extra effort to get the tickets. Dan arrived on the 6:30 flight early and we grabbed his bags and I crossed my fingers for no traffic on 66.
Finally arrived
The traffic wasn’t that bad and we walked into the suite, it was filled with hot dogs, wings, a veggie and a fruit plate. It was even stocked with white wine, beer and of course my favorite soda :) And just to be extra geeky I used the AOL kiosk to twitter. The game was tied til the last few seconds. Washington Wizards and the Miluakee Bucks (108 vs 105). That part was exciting the crowd jumped up and screamed. :)

The game rocked, especially the Wizards’ final shot right at the buzzer to win :)
And what’s with my crazy hat-hair in those pics? It almost looks like a comb over, jeez…
